What men are poets who can speak of Jupiter if he were a man, but if he is an immense spinning sphere of methane and ammonia must be silent?"

I was going to mention Rush Limbaugh, but having seen this thread has come alive again, I'll let the cheeky comments go. :-)

I liked the piece about the internet having revived an interest in poetry. And this is true not only in England and the US, but all over the world. I'm managing editor of an international online journal of the arts, best known for the poetry we publish, and it's stunning to see both the amount and quality of poetry submitted to us from all corners.

I oversee nine poetry readers-- all with MFA's in poetry-- whose task it is to read submissions. And they're busy.

For those who believe in the power of poetry to console, unite, or provoke, it's a very good time.
