Cramer was trounced, badly, on The Daily Show. First of all, he didn't fight back. Secondly, they had video of an interview of him from 2006 telling how he used to screw small investors and why other hedge managers should keep on doing the same thing. He thought the interview was going to be about him making an ass of himself every night. Instead, it was about why CNBS allowed CEOs to lie without ever investigating the facts. And why did they not raise red flags about bank leverage and the failures of deregulation.

Both guys lauded David Favor. I'm not so positive. Yes, he is more of a journalist than Maria Bartoromo or Cramer, but I still remember when he and Mark Haynes slimed David Tice and Alan Abelson for telling the truth about Tyco. When Favor finally investigated Tyco six months later, he then claimed to "break the story" about fraud at Tyco.

I am surprised Cramer went on The Daily Show. He probably thought his after the fact demand that the crooks be prosecuted might save his hide.

Stewart is really poorly versed in the ways of Wall Street, but he is wise in the way his 401K has performed. Of course, it could be worse. He could be a CNBC employee and own mostly GE stock in his 401K.
