Absolutely. I remember reviling "Do Nothing Daschle" on these forums. However, it turned out they were right about Iraq. I've since admitted I was wrong to support Bush in his war on Iraq. We should have just taken care of business from the air, which we held dominion over. That would have saved us 4,300 American lives and $1 trillion.

I'm just not a big fan of filibusters and do nothing tactics. I'm a much bigger fan of consensus and negotiation. The resulting bills are never perfect and they leave lots of things in them that people on both sides call pork, but you know, Democracy is a consensus based system and it is messy. We should never expect a perfect bill. Consensus means it will be imperfect by definition.
