Early on, VLG came up with a couple of lucky, high grade drill intercepts. This was at the time that Bre-x and Arequipa were making their big runs. Things, to say the least, got silly. When subsequent stepout and infill drilling failed to confirm an economical ore body, investors in VLG "ran for the hills", creating a panic from which the share has never recovered. The recent disaster in the price of gold has not helped, inspite of the fact that VLG's early results indicated silver, copper, zinc and not so much gold. Regards.
