Actually, they had one common denominator. That the government could effectively intervene to manage the economy.

But those interventions where of all different sorts, for different reasons, and even sometimes operating at cross purposes. And some of the big ones where spectacularly bad. Fortunately some of the worst where less durable, either bad enough quick enough that FDR and/or congress would cancel them, or declared unconstitutional by the USSC, or eliminated in the run up to WWII as the country focused on the war effort.
