Know nothing about layoffs but do know earnings estimates have been declining for months. 1998 was once $2 and now consensus is around $1.80 which would be a less than 10% increase over 1997 expectations. What is a declining growth rate worth? If the stock trades at 20 times the 1998 est. which is twice the expected growth rate I come up with a target of 36 a share
