Steve: He doesn't short the SP...because he has no power to nudge it. He does of course have the power to create fear in Techs....everyone has that power because they did not immediately move in sympathy with the DOW IA. It was unthinkable when the dow couldn't bring down all. So they only did it because of two reasons. (anyone that believes deflationary news is bad) has a problem. Greenspan overdid his shot over the bow. He upped his arrival to the 29th for that reason. NO hike in rates....smaller, kinder, gentler warning..<G>..."Don't turn us to a third world market on my watch" !! He never expected that all consumed greed that would use his warnings for such extreme profit taking. IMHO....Bruce
