Maybe they're all just jockeying for a position in front of the lights. Who's going to set the tone? Who's going to come up with the best dialogue thread, the best direction, the best angle, the best subject? Who's going to come out the leader of whatever emerges.

Remember that comment that Jesse Jackson made about wanting to cut Obama's nuts off? It was because he realized Obama was stealing his thunder, stealing his angle. Jackson lost his position as spokesman, the go to person to get a comment. And his ability to threaten big companies to the point that they give his son the Coke distributorship to buy him off no longer works. He's no longer invited on Larry King Live. He's third tier now. What's he going to be an activist against now? Obama? Discrimination? Entitlement programs? Don't think so.

algore is trying to corner the market on greenie stuff because he stands to make a ton of money. That's his angle and he gets to be the leader of it - even arranged to get a bucket load of awards - Oscar, Grammy, Nobel - and people buy this crap.

The gang of four that mph referred to are trying to control America's conversation. Criticism of Obama will not be tolerated. It's Nixon's enemy's list all over again. Hopefully their hubris will get them in the end. But right now, they are drunk with power and that power feeds on itself sucking in all the sickopants who want to be part of the power circle.

Back in the 60s/70s, protesting against the war and the government was all the vogue and gave rise to people like Ayres. Now he's back in vogue thanks to his friend Obama. What's his gig going to be now? Is he going to blow up government buildings to make his point?

Should be an interesting sideshow watching them all push and shove for a place in the front row.
