Yer finally catching on. There is no Democrat, there is no Republican. It's the Financial-Industrial complex (which includes all branches of the government) against everyone else. As the TARP shows, as the AIG/GSE bailouts show, as Porkulus shows. There are a small handful of current or ex-government officials who are trustworthy: Paul, Walker, Volcker (maybe), Kucinich, Warren....and every one else is on the other side. Against the American people. Simon Johnson's got it right, you've got to expel the moneychangers from the temple to enact a real solution. And that's just as impossible for O as it was for W (not that W was ever inclined to), at least with the likes of men in power like Geithner and Summers (not to mention the utterly useless Christine Romer). They are the modern-day equivalent of Ehrlichman and Heldeman in my book, if O had any inclination to do the right thing they will blind him to the possibility. And then claim it was "too bad to fix" in the first place.
