Guard Dog Completes Second Acquisition
Tuesday March 10, 3:00 pm ET

RENO, Nev.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Guard Dog ID, Inc. (Pink Sheets:GRDO - News), announced today that Guard Dog, LLC has completed a second competitor acquisition as part of its “rapid growth through acquisition” initiative. On March 10, 2009, Guard Dog, LLC, wholly acquired Life Shield LLC, a direct marketing provider of Identity Theft Protection. The acquisition includes Life Shield LLC’s customer base in its entirety.

“The Life Shield LLC acquisition greatly enhances Guard Dog’s well-developed network of solid established customers with no dilution to share holders,” said James Watson, President and CEO of Guard Dog.

“Life Shield LLC’s average customer has been utilizing their identity theft protection services for over six months. Such high customer retention can only strengthen Guard Dog’s customer retention ratios,” continued Watson.

“We recognized that our long term success pivots on marketing that reaches a smaller, highly qualified audience based on customer intelligence, securing brand recognition. Our updated landing page and expanded marketing campaigns are focused on building long term relationships between customer and content, creating stronger brand recognition and product loyalty. However, the dynamics of our economy have changed. While we are very satisfied with our expanded marketing methods and plan to continue growing this way, acquisitions have proven to be the most cost effective road to rapid growth,” said Watson.

“We are in the process of negotiating a third competitive acquisition with a targeted closing date in late March. Guard Dog plans on updating revenue projections for 2009 once our acquisition initiative is complete,” continued Watson.

Additionally, Guard Dog, LLC would like to correct a misstatement in its press release dated March 2, 2009. In reference to the completion date for bringing its customer service support center back to the United States, the completion date for the move should have read Tuesday, March 3, 2009, not Tuesday, February 4, 2009.
