We had one of those in the house we purchased in W.Va. She lived in the small crawl space near the small basement of our home. One day I took a can of tuna to one of the small ventilation type windows which she could get in and out. She was scrawny and it didn't take too many days to get her outside and eventually she was tamed to the point of letting us love her and letting her into the house. She had her own system. She dined with food from us and brought us chipmunks and mice. One day she killed a rabbit right in front of us. She had her 'arms' around it and squeezed it to death. She didn't 'gift' us with that. We called her BK. Loads of stories about her. BK for Black Kat :)
