Jessica Lynch was a hero. But I've never heard or read where she said "war is a racket" or anything similar to that.

Like it or not, propaganda is part of war. After Vietnam, in particular, for a war to be successful in the United States it either has to be an easy win that doesn't take long OR there must be a propaganda campaign in order to keep the American people focused.

It is unfortunate, but most people just don't understand war, why you have to have it sometimes, and almost universally they don't understand that when you commit yourselves to it, if it isn't as easy as you thought, you're still committed.

This is why we have to have strong leaders like Bush. If a war has to be conducted, you cannot have someone like Obama or Clinton who is too political to stand the heat.
