I know they are toxic but what's worrying me is they may not be able to unwind them. I don't think there is. I've heard somewhere around 30X leverage, against declining assets. How do you unwind that? You've go to to wonder how these companies are structured that allows people get their company into such messes. I've sort of seen it happen. You have to have some basic 'rules of the road' and be able to enforce them. On the other hand you have to let successful people have their lead.... been there done that and it's a tightrope walk.
