we need drilling off the coasts and gulf and maintain cheap gas and let people buy the car they want to buy vs force them to buy more expensive car and more expensive gasoline. All these increase fall to low and middle income. if you have sufficient spendable income of course you could care less how much tax you throw on gasoline, or high heating oil goes up, or how much more you pay for cars....
