Wow, great find! Finally a North American UCG project. Why should only the Australians be doing it? This article addresses some of the issues I have been wondering about. Like how deep can you do UCG? And isn't deeper better - more pressure, and less possibility of contaminating aquifers? Also, surface subsidence should be less of a problem.

But there is still the problem of how to make money off the coming UCG boom. As this project demonstrates, anybody can do UCG. And there seems to be an infinite quantity of deep stranded coal.
