That's where we differ. I believe, for example, that our government space exploration efforts have helped keep us a super power. In addition, I like the fact that they take on some of science's most expensive and vexing problems like fusion energy. I think there are many things the government does better than private industry and that the best of all worlds is not a country with no government, but one where government, academia, and private industry work in concert to expand our economy and set the stage for fair trade with other countries, while minimizing war and using it only as a last resort.
