No straw man AT ALL:

<Obama has NOTHING to do with proposing what type of research is promising or appropriate.>>

It's clear that scientists propose research based on what they feel is appropriate, helpful, WHAT PARENTS WANT, etc. THEY are the grass roots... THEY are the driver, the motivation. Obama has nothing to do with that. I understand you disagree with that... or feel the need to muddy it up.

<Writing up the proposals is an irrelevant issue.>>

Sure, when you want to take the whole thing out of context and blame one person...always nice to find a villian, a bad guy causeing ALL the problems in an otherwise complex world. I'm learning a LOT about the pro life argument, thanks!!

<A meaningless point.>

Only to you and those who don't want ot deal with "context" of a situation, it wasn't AT ALL meaninless to the original statement I posted... in fact it was the WHOLE POINT. Please keep with the topic or post your own posts to yourself.

You've provided a great ending point which sums up the whole context (lack of in your case) of the argument:

""If you hire a hit man you didn't pull the trigger, but your still responsible.""

THanks
