When you suddenly say, "We aren't taking care of vets anymore; the private insurance companies have to do that" -- which is what he's saying -- it is tantamount to increasing taxes on insurance companies.

What happens when you increases taxes on medical insurance companies? Their rate of return drops and so is passed on to its customers (employers and individuals who buy insurance policies) because taxes are not paid by corporations; taxes are paid by corporation's customers.

So, when you dump responsibility for taking care of injured soldiers onto health insurance companies, the cost of having vets on the payroll goes up. Period. End of story.

This is way over your head. You're a salesman. Not a thinking person. Just go away.
