On Fleckenstein: I am currently long Dell. But Fleckenstein makes an excellent point in his interview. On the bottom of the first column on p.33 he observes that a production manager at Digital said their customers want to see the biz side of things trimmed in the same ways as the consumer side. In short, computers that do less (but more than enough) for far less money. This claim is important for Dell because the entire argument for Dell is built on the claim that the business/server market is different. Well, unless it remains so, Dell could fall, and hard. Also, check out the fund listings in yesterday's IBD. It seems Dell is a "sell" at a lot of funds. Finally, with Intel breaking 80, nothing may be safe. Comments welcomed.
