Thanks Stephen. There's food for thought, that's for sure.

I note your comment on hedging and I do agree. However I don't like the "mark-to-market" accounting. With falling prices, the increase in value of the entire hedge book is taken into profit, to be reversed as losses as prices rise again and the value of the hedge book declines. What does the market see ?
