This doesn't appear to be new news. The non-final rejection notice was sent 2/6/09 and contained the conclusion regarding no prior art. I checked the USPTO web site and there are no new documents listed after 2/6, so LWLG hasn't responded with new, more specific claims as yet. The PR only confirms the conclusion that the examiner, while rejecting the original claims as too broad and vague, was optimistic that approval of a more restrictive and detailed set of claims could be granted, per the examiner's suggestions.

Maybe there has been some new communication that hasn't shown up on the USPTO site yet.
