Todd, QNTM upped their areal density first. On desktop, they are completely Fireball ST (1.6/disk) and Bigfoot CY (2.1/disk). WDC is climbing up there, too, but it's hard to tell how fast their ramp is going for their 1.7 and 2.1 drives. SEG is not even close, and they're skipping a generation to catch up.

QNTM grabbed the 1.6 flag and profited handsomely. 2.1 ought be much more competitive, as far as one can tell from competing press releases. But as you know, execution is key.
