The Stimulus and talk about health care have spawned all sorts of fraudulent or semi-fraudulent industries.

For example, there is a commercial for an outfit called Federal Loan Modification. Those are the words across the screen. The actor doing the talking is saying that the *federal government won't help you, but we can*---or words to that effect. "Don't let THEM [undefined] take your home. We can help."

And how about those calls at home. My husband answered one that he mistakenly thought was in response to a message he'd left with a real company. He had one of the portable phones out with him in the yard. As soon as he said "hello" a young man launched into a spiel about low cost health insurance. My husband couldn't even get a word in to end the call. He pretended his phone was losing power and hung up...lol.

I was working at my desk inside the house. The phone then rang and I answered. It was the same guy. He told me about the phone
losing power and that he was calling back. I asked him who he wanted to speak to. Didn't know my husband's name. I then called my husband on a walkie talkie since he was still outside. No answer.

I told the guy I couldn't get a hold of him but that I doubted he was interested.

He said, and I am not kidding, "I heard you talking to him. Lying to me is a sin."

I laughed out loud and said, "You are calling me in my home, some lying sales puke, and you're telling me about sin! Get outta here." CLUNK!

Some days are better than others.:-)
