"House Passes Bill Taxing AIG and Other Bonuses- AP Acting with lightning speed, the Democratic-led House has approved a bill to slap punishing taxes on big employee bonuses from firms bailed out by taxpayers. The vote was 328-93. Said House Speaker Nancy Pelosi: "We want our money back and we want our money back now for the taxpayers."" am opposed to this on principal because its retroactive. There should have been penalties in place before the bonuses and penalties should apply going forward. Voluntary recapture of money already paid out is all that should be allowable. This deserves a senate fillibuster and/or a presidential veto because this violates the constitution, (i think).
