so with a 90% rate, firms will just raise bonus to 10mm from 1mm to get the same result? thats nonsense and totally irresponsible even for the already irresponsible. Having said that i agree with you on retroactive laws. I agree however that TARP beneficiaries shouldnt issue bonus' because they failed as companies and exist only by benefit of govt intervention in most cases. "Not only is it clearly illegal, the firms will just increase the size of the bonuses to offset the increased taxes."
