But the guys he has handling the financial crisis for him are possibly crooks; at best, they're people that have no understanding of the financial system outside of the ridiculous bubble system that's been set up over the last 30 years. Come on....Geithner and Summers are not crooks...far from it. Where you are probably right is they are not sure which way to go with this crisis partly because some of the more drastic steps would be politically difficult to implement. Plus, I am not sure anyone has the complete answer. For over the past year, I have heard at least 15 potential solutions and rarely do two people agree on a particular one. Bottom line: its a mess.......when they developed these financial instruments, they apparently didn't take a logical, straightforward approach. Hence, the difficulty AIG is having trying to unwind them I would not be too quick to judge even as I have been guilty of doing the same. These are scary times and unfortunately, we need to be patient.
