Schwab's will rotate my tires for free, I know I should do it, but I just never seem to get around to it either - the argument we could save money by giving free health care that then sends people to the doctor early simply ignores reality - people don't always do what's good for them. I guess the only way to manage the issue is to force them into the doctors office with threats - that's the DNC way.

This is exactly right, yet, Obama claims we'll save money by offering preventive care. We won't. And we won't save money with an electronic health record, either -- at least nowhere near enough to cover the cost of doing it.

There could be improvements in our health care but they involve relatively minor changes, not some radical disposition of the system we now have that works reasonably well.
