Great Easter Island analogy... the world doesn't actually need any more gold, so it's all lost productivity and all the environmental damage is voluntary. Some kind of folly... Nevertheless, I own a bunch of PM shares, at it appears to be on of the good strategies for escaping less scathed. Oil, too, in my view, via royalty trusts.
