Now he is on tv tonight for an hour, is that what I read somewhere? Am I the only one that is getting sick to death of his face and voice? It isn't just because I don't like the guy it's like he is in my face 24/7. I don't ever remember a president that spent this much time on tv.


Agreed. Both Dick Morris and Karl Rove have made the point that Obama is overexposed. High office needs a little bit of mystery about it to function well. Kings have always known this and successful presidents, who must reign as well as rule, know it too.

Obama is just doing more of what worked so spectacularly for him until he took office. I don't think he has internalized the fact that the rules are different for a sitting President. This was one big advantage GW Bush had, that he grew up seeing dad in office and he learned the rules early. W's nature is to be just as jokey as Obama or even more, but he had a better sense of the self-restraint the office demands.
