It's because we're letting the foxes guard the henhouse! In the financial industry, I'm not sure there are anything but foxes. Unless we want to go back to the days when only the very wealthy had a credit card (and they didn't even need one, merchants would just bill them) then there is going to have to be some 'modern' reform worked out. I know everyone is down on Goldman... but they were the only ones smart enough to get out of the toxic markets.
