Awww, I kind of like men.
The Church did everything it could to suppress any form of the Goddess. They wanted no competition for their savior. :)
They set us back a lot.
But of course, the great philosophers didn't think much of us as competent human beings, either, from Aristotle to Hegel to Rousseau, we are excluded. Isn't self-actualization one of your favorite themes? Hegel thought women were incapable of it.
Still, as a social worker, I worked in an all-female office, and it was pretty awful at times. Very catty and sneaky. Women can be very nasty, even if they aren't as overtly aggressive. WHen I was a probation officer, I worked with all men, and it was much more honest.
Still, I think it's reached a point of being more about the individual than the sex, though we women still have progress to be made. |
