Elroy, he was more surprised that shareholders took so little care of their capital than that management adopted a self-dealing position. He didn't throw USA interests down the drain to gain short term adulation. He looked after USA interests in the particular narrow respect of maintaining the US$ as a going concern providing profits to the owners of it. "USA Interests" is an amorphous beast and since there are conflicting interests, it's not obvious just what those are. Mqurice
