Finally, an article where the author has evidently talked to Engineers and Physicists about the energy density of various types of materials for fuels. For the most part, solar and wind are not usable enough to produce the energy we need.

The environmental people should be talking to hundreds of scientists that specialize in fuels. They would then know that solar, for instance, isn’t a 24/7 product that can come to earth. It comes when there is daylight. Also one has to consider the angle of the sun’s to the earth…. Usually, there are just a few hours every day that anyone can receive sun rays strong enough to produce any solar power of any consequence.

Abundant energy is the reason the US has been as economically viable as it has been. Let us all hope that Team Obama won’t destroy the US by destroying the means for our energy production.

Has anybody thought of where in the middle of the desert you're going to find enough water to wash down 10,000 square miles of solar panels every month?
