You would think no matter how dorked up their life was they would have just a bit of compassion for the rest of their family.

Many years ago when I was a mechanic and ran a wrecker I got a call from the State Patrol to pick up an abandoned car at the rest area. It's August and about 90 degrees. So I go to the rest area and there are county workers there pumping the septic and what not and the place had kind of a foul odor to it. Talk to the state cop for a few minutes and he points to the car so I drop the hoist and back up to it and bend under the rear of the car to put a hook on it and wow, big time stink of dead rotting meat. I put 2 and 2 together and pulled out from under the car and drove back up to the cop and said I'll tell you where your smell is coming from and it's your car, there is something made of meat rotting in the trunk and I can promise you I'm not opening it to find out what. He went down and confirmed my suspicion and called a lock smith to come open the trunk. When they did I stood on the back side of the wrecker having a bad feeling what they were going to find and that is exactly what it was. Guy climbed in his trunk, latched it and shot himself.

I'm happy to report due to quick thinking that is not a visual I've had to live with. The cop and locksmith getting sick tells me that was a great move on my part.
