The "..Typhoid Mary.." homo airline attendant was tracked down by the CDC or NHS and the entire report was aired on a 60 Minutes-grade program. The investigation started after all sorts of bathhouse Sallys starting showing up at hospitals in CA with what was finally diagnosed as AIDS / HIV. The term "..The Gay Plague.." was coined at that time, and it was in the late 70's early 80's. The liberalized health and privacy laws now prevent the health officials from pursuing and isolating the AIDS carriers, so there's no hope of irradicating it the way they did for sypillis and gonorrhea back in the 40's-50's. .
