Me too, Poet. But it's the end result of a very long chain of abuses by our monetary officials, business "leaders" and government. They took the "reserve currency" status for granted, and now we'll all have to pay the piper. The writing was on the wall long ago. The bailout of BSC (thus roadmapping all the bailouts that followed) was the final misstep that caused this. I can't speak for anyone else, but we've been far too deferential of the powers that be in this country. We need to bring back accountability (of them to us) if the U.S. is going to survive, and we need to do it now.
