Countries are just letting off steam. There is no replacement for the USD for the foreseeable future. The Euro may be torn apart. The Remninbi isn't even convertible. The Pound is getting pounded. The Yen is backed by a country that's in perpetual recession. Other than Gold, I don't see another reserve currency.
