Reminds of a discussion i had with my son.... He wanted Obama to legalize marijuana. We all need to remember those Civics classes we took way back when they actually taught that stuff. Obama is neither king nor dictator. He still has to govern with the advise and consent of a Congress that remains highly divided and skeptical. He cannot govern by decree. We outed those bastards. So, as I told my son, marijuana will be legalized, or at least decriminalized, because the feds will back off as a result of executive branch policy to not override state laws. (now that is ironic, but the reality of where we are) Then the states that are agnostic on its use anyway, like California, will stop loading their prisons with kids hustling a couple of bags of mojo, and reserve their billets for real criminals. Economically we really have no alternative as the judges are already cracking down and ordering population reductions in overcrowded prisons. Soon the grip that major tobacco and alcohol has had on recreational substances will dissolve. Anyway, I think a lot of these issues will get sorted out because we have a clear headed captain, for a change.
