WOW Christine!!! So much to digest. But before I forget, let me thank you for taking the time to explain paganism to me. I really had no idea what it was all about. I probably won't visit the urls. Our computer has a nasty habit of defaulting when we try to visit new sites not to mention that it takes forever to download the info.

The truck . . .

I am one of those kinds of people that are more concerned with what is under the hood instead of how it looks. The truck I recently purchased is primer gray indicating that someone was at one time intending to restore it. But they did a lousy job on the body work that I can't help but wonder if the body is in such poor condition that it wasn't their intention to just repaint the rust. I gotta admit, if another truck comes along at the right price and in much better condition, I'm buying it and getting rid of the one I've got even if it means giving it away. I would give it to someone if they needed transportation and just couldn't afford it. At least I'd get a good feeling out of a bad investment.

I've watched others ask, argue, and basically conflict over the 'does HE or doesn't HE exist' issue here and elsewhere at various times and have pretty much chosen to stay out of the fray. I figure no matter how much another's beliefs seem ridiculus, it will only cause such persons to hold on tighter so what is the point of the whole debate (i.e. argumentive conflict). But one of the things I could never figure out, is if someone claims to be an atheist, what would be the use of going through a whole life if there wasn't another level and life was merely a recycling process generation after generation.

The dictionary basically defines atheist as one who denies the existance of God which would suggest to me that all beliefs that do not include God as a basis in some regard of said beliefs are athistic. Would that not be a proper assumption?

Ergo, all beliefs which do not include God in some manner are atheistic. I cannot for the life of me figure out what it is that some people find so disdaining about Christians. They are no different in many ways than anyone else. However some can be just as pushy with their beliefs as others are with views that are to the contrary. Most of the ones which I have encountered can be rejected with a simple but polite no thank you. It is a basic premise that no one can be argued into heaven and in fact the reverse to all probability will happen. It is a given that it is up to each individual to decide for him or herself what lies at the end of the rainbow. Choosing not to decide is indeed a choice made.

I've merely stated the above because I want others to know where I stand. I am not a Christian because I do not love others which is the foundation for being a Christian: to love others as one loves ones self. But I will from time to time have my ire raised when others seem to find Christian bashing appropriate. Inappropriate behavior is just that inappropriate. I've often wanted to ask, now we're the adults, right?

Well I've had my say. Hope this somehow defines where I stand on this issue.

Yours,
