Well, you and others seem to believe that by turning health care over to the government you're somehow going to get better value than the markets can produce. While you may not have espoused that view here, you have made it abundantly clear in other threads.

And while we all believe there are some efficiency gains to be had, it is pretty clear that government controlled health care isn't the way to get it.

And the "mandating of efficiency" Obama is attempting will fail, as well. It just doesn't happen like that.

The doctors I'm hearing from who want to collect their government handouts -- about $40-50K for the typical office -- are totally confused about what is happening. They don't realize that when you adopt EMR you no longer practice the way YOU want to, it is the way The System mandates you to practice. They are far less enthused when they realize that it is a different lifestyle for them.
