Unworkable. Listen I agree that if we truly had a free market in health care, and health care insurance, then that would drive the cost down to a world competitive price. But how do you get there?

Imagine a politician standing up and saying "Here is a bill to make employer provided health care illegal". How many votes is that going to get?

I've never seen a proposal that gets us anywhere near a free market. McCain came close to a start with taxing employer benefits, but even that would be politically impossible to pass.
