I've been giving my coal presentation at my son's school this past week. Giving my last one of the year today. I try to be very balanced when the questions about pollution and global warming come up. But I'm not going to lie to the kids and go with the politically correct answer. When I'm done, the kids know that their TV, Wii, Xbox, refrigerator, heater and air conditioner all go away without coal. It is unbelievable that the people in this country can't connect the dots to see what happens if they do this cap and trade shit and of course...flat out ban coal. Energy costs will go through the roof...this means EVERYTHING gets more expensive. It wasn't bad enough that we were paying $140/barrel for oil.... It isn't Obama's economic policies that will put the final nail in our economy, it is his environmental policies. The good news is that the vast majority of the population isn't quite ready to give up their creature comforts for some utopian fantasy. When we have to start giving up stuff all but the greenest liberals are going to have a change of heart about the viability of wind turbines running all of their TVs and Wii's.
