They need to import more to export more. To match $ volume of their last year exports they need to export 25% higher- and as a function of imports and exports- every single $ of exports needs 60 cents of imports.

Has Asea been scrapped from the face of this world?
And why don't you apprecaite the point that ASEANs are island economies dependent on value added exports- with devaluatio they become more compertitive. They will need to import more to export more- just draught threats in Indonesia will lead to higher imports of staple food- today's news item.
