The conservative Rocky Mountain News has ceased publication and left the Denver market to the liberal Denver Post. Both papers used to publish Mon-Fri, only the Rocky on Saturday, and only the Post on Sunday. So no matter which newspaper you subscribed to daily, the weekends were pre-ordained. As a tiny protest, I cancelled the daily subscription (which had been for the Rocky) and now get the Post Sunday only. There is a lot that I'll miss from the Rocky Mountain News but I couldn't stomach reading that other liberal rag 7 days a week.
