Americans already decided it was a priority. We saw that very clearly in the 2006 & 2008 Congressional Elections and in the Presidential election of 2008. Most Americans want renewable energy efforts and oil independence. You are officially in the minority, where you will hopefully remain for the next 8 years. By then, more than enough momentum will have been created where renewable energy will stand on its own as an industry without government support.

So get ready. The world of American oil addiction that you love so much has already seen the beginning of the end.
