Yes; the illegal transfer of technology is disturbing, it most likely shortens the lead-time VLNC may currently enjoy in bring product to market. In the business world one needs to assume that when dealing with a supplier that also supplies the competition, information "sharing" becomes inevitable, regardless of the non-disclosures that've been signed. The only saving grace is 2 fold: 1) non-disclosures should hold up in a court of law, should it come to that, 2) in this market there's enough room for several players.

Meanwhile, they still have their lead time and what with OEM's looking, imo, frantically for superior battery technology, VLNC should be able to garner a share of the market commensurate with their production lines capabilities.
