The DOE is clearly a waste of money. We seem to be intent on remaining dependent on foreign oil. We won't allow development of ANWR, we won't allow any further development of the oil resources off of the california coast and we are in the process of killing the coal industry. If we refuse to use our own resources, where else are we going to get fuel?
