They miss Deron Washington on the screens. He had good hands and had the ability to take the pass from the primary option (the shooter) and get to the basket or hit a mid-range shot. Before him, it was Coleman Collins as the primary screener. Without a credible threat, defenses just step out on the shooter and disrupt the offense. You also saw it many times when they used screens to free up the point guard Thorns or Delaney. The big man on the other team steps out and creates a double team which forces Thorns or Delaney to back up and start the offense all over.
