Welcome to the 'Global culture of 97- Widow 95- Mac's- Coke's and Pentium's- I salute the icons of this culture Gates Grooves Guitizeh(late) and others.
Confessions of an unashamed bull on Kahuna thread!
It is about basic mis-comprehension and destruction phenomenon I resist not the fall of markets burt the means of fall- markets 1000 lower or higher is not important it is the means through which we achieve it- I disagree with 'everything' falling apart analogy. A pet slogan of this thread- I wish I could let people know what multinationals have brought to global economies other than profits.

Yes- I am an eternal optimist- and a realist- I have seen world transforming into a integrated system- world GDP grew from 7 trillion $'s to 38 trillion $ in constant $ term within 10 years- the ASEAN growth engine was and is fueled by exports to ASEA- world trade has grown leap and bounds- US markets in 29 were regional -even California and New York were not economically integrated lest to talk of ASEA- today US corporate have global presence- they cater for growing needs of the world. Difficult to comprehend- but this is the bottom line- for me market at 7200 or 8200 is not a problem it is the lack of understanding of new global reach of US markets that surprises me. I am termed as a super bull no I am not I am realist and will play the markets accordingly -short it or long it- however trading aside I know the future is not doom it is bright- global prosperity is going to turn this new century into a century of hope- I am concerned with economic disasters come the inevitable paraphernalia like 'curtailment of freedom'- and Hitler's or Saddam's- for me I protect my territory because in 'economic advancement' I see ray of human development- which has brought smiles on faces of billions-

Yes I also unashamedly think US is the country which has ability and muscle to make these smiles permanent- for me this is my dream and stock market is one of the prime manifestation of my not in very distant future realisable dream of an integrated world.

Boring philosophy- but I back these markets and systems to avoid tyranny and bloodshed which last century has witnessed in absence of these global corporation- today human race is slowly bound in a common culture of Windows 95- a Coke and a burger- absence of these common denominators were cause of many a conflicts- I hold US corporates as leading players of 'global understanding' and at cutting edge of master minding a 'global culture'- it is this I am long on, p[lease don't take away this dream of prosperity and unity- Pol pots and Mao's have lost currency and US economic prowess as a lot to do with it. Welcome to new earth culture of Pentium Mac's Cokes and Window 95- this bringing the entire fragmented globe together.
