No. Your point is incorrect. It borders on hysteria.

Even in countries we would call socialist, you don't have 100% of the economy under the governments control. Obama is proposing changes in terms of new government spending and regulation that would add at least 5% and perhaps a much greater amount of our economy to be under the governments control. 5% is a huge step. Its like waging five Iraq wars at once.

Socialism isn't about gov't control of the economy. Its about how the assets of a country are held.

If health care is put under the governments control than the total is over 20%.

Yikes! Run for the hills!
